Namaste !

The family where we are staying in Ahmedabad is preparing a party tonight. There will be music and singing. These days are different because we are all working on our project, we have the final presentation tomorrow… what a pressure ! hihihi

Ahmedabad is a city where old heritage houses and modern architecture meet. It is very unusual to go for a walk in the old town and then just cross the Sabarmati river and be in front of a Le Corbusier achievement !!

The heat is so unbearable that we get up very early to visit and after a nap (which is a necessity), at 5h, we can start again to do something…

~~~ connexion problem, I m writing the day after ~~~
We had the presentation, everyone was very different from our particular skills: plakat paintings, markets space map, redo-traditionnal hindi song, surprising textile bags, ornements research.
Now we are on the departure… we are taking the night train for Mumbai (our last spot). I m really looking forward for this train experience ! At the moment, we are all a bit sad… realising that we gonna go back really soon now. But we did enjoyed, one last time, our stay on the rooftop… looking at the neighbours occupations (they do also stared at us !), the stars and bats in the sky. But we won t be able to sleep there tonight.
So, I ll say NAMASTE for a goodbye. And alos THANKS to the Mehta family and everyone who make this journey happened !!!
Camille.
Great India
After some problems with my Blog Account it finally works. The last few days we spent in Pushkar and Udaipur. Yesterday we reached Mount Abu, which is a really quiet and beautiful place in the mountains. I’m surprised how much I like the country. The coulours are just amazing, and the people are so friendly, even when they know how to get the money from the tourists.
eismal ims indie…
Even tough I was facing several difficulties, food poisoning for instants, this country really got to me. The people are so kind, some really poor but still smiling from their heart and never tired to wave friendly at our bus. Others can be really sticky and clever when they try to make money. I met two amazing young women in delhi who are living a life that is surprisingly similar to ours.
All in all it is a mindblowing trip also in terms of design. The fresh use of colors and typography is very inspiring.
working on the road
we are now travelling since 10 days through india and are full of impressions . its hard to keep distance to the own experiences we have all made . which of them reflect the local culture, the habits and manners in a propper way and which of them are just a product of our fantasy ? which tools can we use to get an analytical distance and are we willing to do it right now ? what can we aspect by applying an analytical view ? will it destroy our genuine experiences ? in which format we want to keep the image of india? is it appropriate to store his individual image of this beautiful land ? is there an alternative ?
